The Congressman made the terrible mistake of questioning the motives of the goon squads who showed up to disrupt his health-care town hall meeting.

If they had had any imagination, they would have burned a cross.

So now the line has been crossed: the attacks have moved from the town halls to Capitol Hill itself. Can anyone doubt that they're thinking about the White House too?

I sure hope Obama takes his Secret Service detail out for a beer after this week's town halls -- they're earning it.
