GOP Congressmen jokes with wingnuts about lynching health reformers

Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO): This particular meeting, in a way is a little bit unique. Different people from Washington, DC, have come back to their districts and have town hall meetings, and they almost got lynched.

[audience laughs and applauds]

Akin: I would assume you're not approving lynchings, because we don't want to do that.

[Akin pretends to choke himself, audience laughs even more]

Akin: But the point is, people are really upset at some of this legislation, and with very good reason they were upset.


Hardy har har...Well, of course people are upset. Maniacs like you are lying to them about health reform, and making light of the actual and threatened violence of the wingnuts toward the reformers. When the first Congressman or Congresswoman is injured or killed by one of your wingnut pals, we'll head over back to you and see if you still think it's all a joke. For that matter, we'll see if the Secret Service thinks that sort of thing is a joke: Obama is getting 30 death threats a day, thanks in part to people like you.
