Governors who flipflopped on stimulus to lead next tea party

There will be a town hall “tea party” Thursday, again led by Republicans who are slamming Obama for raising taxes…right after he cut taxes.

And how sad is this? The tea party will be led by Mark Sanford, who condemned the stimulus money and then took it anyway, and Rick Perry, who did the same thing, as well as screeching about secession from the federal government just before asking the same government for help with the swine flu.

Is it that the Republicans are hell-bent on putting forward leaders who have no credibility? Or is it simply that they don’t really have anyone left with credibility anyway?

It is a puzzlement.
