According to TPM, Obama will do a Labor Day event on the 7th and then address a joint session of Congress on the 9th.
The unnerving thing here is that this is his one best chance to sell his program -- so he needs, ya know, a program, that is much clearer than what we've been hearing for the last couple of days. "Congress kinda sorta needs to do something that will accomplish this, and avoid that...." Um, no.
He needs a "Mister Gorbachev, tear down this wall" moment, a clear and simple message like those little blue cards Clinton used -- health care that can never be taken away.
