According
to the International Energy Agency, the United States will pass Saudi Arabia
and Russia to become the top oil producer in the world, achieving more energy
self-sufficiency than ever, as of 2017, just as Obama is leaving office. Bush
sought energy self-sufficiency by invading the Middle East and it was a
disaster. Obama tried it by expanding domestic production and succeeded. Remember
this the next time some knuckle-dragging Republican screams that Obama is weak
on energy, drill baby drill, stop being mean to Exxon, etc etc.
